Snow has begun to fall in Ontario and Quebec, marking the official start of the winter season. 🚜❄️ With over 2,800 tablets active on the network and more than
206,000 notifications sent last week, we are committed to ensuring the smooth operation of your activities. That’s why we'd appreciate if you could fill out the following survey -->First Storm Survey.
Furthermore, to assist you in your operations, here are some reminders and practical tips:
1. System Connection
Important clarification regarding your tablet connection and access via the portal under "Management > Users":
Web Portal: Login with your username and
password.
Tablet: Log in with your phone number and PIN.
2. Alert Activation
On the tablet - Owners or Supervisors only:
Click on the phone icon of the desired route.
The icon changes from white to green to indicate alert activation.
On the Web Portal:
Go to "Operation > Map".
Click on the siren icon of the desired route.
The icon changes from black to red to indicate activation.
Alert buffer operation for tablets and the web portal:
Set a buffer between 2 and all.
Example: If buffer = 10, the first 10 clients are
alerted.
Each client visit triggers an alert to the next client in the list (e.g., visiting client #1 alerts client #11).
* This also works for a reversed route.
Customizing Alert Messages:
If you wish to customize your snow alert messages, you have the option to do so, whether for the confirmation message upon registration or during your operations.
Calls : Send us a Wav
recording to import onto your platform.
SMS : Insert your text under "Management > Company".
Emails : Create a template under "Management > Message Template", then select it by default in "Management > Company".
3. Managing Road Issues
Sometimes, you might notice a yellow triangle on one of your routes. In this case, two options are possible:
The
geocoding is not included in a route.
The geocoding may be crossed. Adjust it in the contract (under the "Location tab") if necessary.
In both options, return to "Operation > Map" menu, adjust/move the white point on the geocoding and save. The triangle should disappear, if not, refresh the page.
4. Accessing Operator
Notes
To view notes left by your operator on the tablet, go to the portal "Reports > Generator". You'll find this information in the visit details, specifically under column H.
5. Symbols in Contrat Logs
Several symbols appear in the contract logs. They can be present individually or in combination.
Finger - Manual visit or vehicle in the driveway
Green hexagon - Automatic physical visit by the tractor
Route with arrow - Reversed route
Tablet/PC screen - Manual notes added (tablet or portal).
6. Replacing Alcatel Tablets
Our products are constantly evolving, and we aim to provide the best. For updated performance and features, we recommend switching to newer models, offering better performance, security, and user experience. If you're still using an Alcatel tablet, it will be important to replace them as they will
become obsolete by the next 2024-2025 season.
